Quick Operation Guide for Adjusting Hevi-Rail Combined Bearings

     Hevi-Rail bearings are heavy duty roller bearings that provide very high load capacity for material handling and other applications. In particular, the HVBEA series of bearings provide a good way to handle axial clearance in the system. The following are the steps to adjust the eccentric portion of the bearing to reduce the axial clearance:
     Remove all hex screws from the faceplate.
     Applying a balanced pressure separates the two bearings by pulling the eccentric bearing down while pulling up the outer race.
     Measurements are made one by one from the smooth outer casing surface to the highest position of the eccentric bearing.
     The eccentric bearing is rotated about the off-axis to change the height of the bearing to the smooth outer casing surface.
     Remeasure and adjust until the desired distance is reached.
     Reassemble the bearings and tighten all the screws into the faceplate.
